Monessie House – a holiday home in the heart of Findhorn

Monessie House is one of the best located homes in the beautiful village of Findhorn. Directly facing the bay and Culbin Forest, it has spectacular views towards Forres in the south and the hills of Sutherland in the north.

The house has four bedrooms and can accommodate up to nine people in comfort. Two of the bedrooms overlook the bay. Downstairs, the living room and dining room both have panoramic views, as does the front garden and terrace. There are also two bathrooms.

The house, which is on one of the largest sites in Findhorn, has a big enclosed back garden where children can play in safety.

Monessie is a few seconds’ walk from the bay, and 10 minutes away from the village’s glorious sandy beaches. Just down the road are two excellent pubs, The Kimberley and the Crown and Anchor, which both serve good food. There are other cafes in the village, as well as a general store and post office.

Our grandfather bought Monessie 60 years ago when he retired, and it remains very much a family home with its own individual character – ideal for anyone who enjoys a traditional British seaside holiday. Monessie is available for lets throughout the year.

Prices range from £500 to £800 per week.
Rates are negotiable for short breaks.
