Some of the attractions on this page are a little
further afield but can be reached in under an hours drive from Forres,
more attractions will be included at a later date.
Some of the most famous attractions in Scotland are also within easy
reach from Forres, why not take an afternoon drive to Urquhart Castle
on the banks of Loch Ness, one of the most visited attractions anywhere
in Scotland and is a must see whilst in visiting Scotland.
One hour to the south of Forres is Aviemore, ideal for mountain biking,
walking, skiing and snowboarding the Cairngorm mountains offer a wide
range of facilities to suit all abilities.
For the less sporty why not browse one of the many visitor centres
including Logie Steadings, Brodie Countryfare, Baxters Highland
Village and Johnstons woolen Mill.
Take a tour around the surrounding area and visit some of many historic
sites including castles, crannogs,
cairns, standing stones and monuments.
